Wandering and Poetry

I just started this site yesterday and have had so many people make such sweet comments to me. And who would have thought that a connection would happen. So, from the suggestion of a fellow blogger to add a poem, I requested that he send a poem. Above is his poem to go along with my photo. Isn’t the internet so wonderful when all the right people are together…

Tiny Greens

Light at the End

This cave was so amazing, mesmerizing, and beautiful. Deep inside there were leopard frogs in pools, water flowing from somewhere deep inside. We hiked for about half an hour before we turned back. Just when it started to get to the crawling point, we decided we had seen enough wonderment for the day. It was truly an amazing thing to see.

Blue Hue

Blue Berries on an Evergreen. So beautiful, especially in the grey winter backdrop.

Wandering

Trail head to a secret location. Down an old highway, onto a county road, onto a gravel road, to another gravel road, and another. The hidden spots always tell the best stories.

Leaf

I thought it was very delicate how the veins in the leaf remained. Looks like it’s breaking down into lace.

Under the Ice

The ice from this stream had broken away and I could see just under the ice. Very intriguing.

Ripples in the Ice

Frozen in Time

Under the Ice

I love how the ripples froze into puzzle piece like shapes.

Along Side

Along side the frozen waterfall, watching the dripping water splash into the pool below. Shimmering and beautiful. Winter can be very grand.

Frozen Waterfall

Just beautiful. I have seen pictures of this beauty on lower temperature winter days when it is just amazing. With the mild winter this year, I was not able to experience it in all it’s glory. But you bet this baby is on my radar for the upcoming winters. Bring on the cold temps!

Frozen Giants

These giant icicles are taller than I am. In real life they are amazing. These pictures just do not do them justice. This entire canyon is enclosed in them. Giant icicles….they are truly beautiful.

Hanging Out

This bluff is over 30 feet in the air with huge icicles hanging down. A beautiful box canyon hidden away in Missouri. This place is truly amazing.

Whisper in the Fog

Such a glorious and beautiful morning this was. Fog rolling through the air, mist from the rolling water, whispers from the water flowing by.

shhhhhhh…..can you hear it whisper to you?

Growing in the Spring

Little plants growing in a spring during the middle of winter. Hamilton Creek area in Missouri. Gorgeous, water bubbling up from the bottom of the pool, everything in it so green with life, while the surrounding woods were monotone in the color of winter.
